Talking point: Premier David Eby said while school boards may implement the rules differently, “the bottom line is that the phones are not going to be out in the classroom.” B.C. is one of several provinces—including Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, Quebec and Nova Scotia—that have banned or are in the process of banning cellphones in class.
