Untether has been working on its second-generation semiconductors, which are designed to be more power efficient and better integrated with the software necessary to run them. As the chip business adapts to machine learning, there’s “potential for shifts in just how AI gets deployed and delivered,” Walker told my colleague Anita last month. Backers include the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board, Radical Ventures and Intel. Walker said Untether is currently fundraising.
