Talking point: As Big Tech companies jockey for position in the metaverse, attention is shifting to commercial and industrial uses. Facebook’s parent company Meta began selling its latest US$1,499 virtual reality device Quest Pro on Tuesday. The social media giant has partnered with Microsoft to offer Microsoft Teams and Microsoft 365 on the device. Meta is hoping that the working professionals and prosumer target market will be willing to pay for the steep price tag.
