Amongst the AI hype there are already scores of practical applications for the technology. From driving efficiency to finding new revenue streams, AI is a big opportunity for businesses—but you’ve got to know how and where to use it effectively.

High-quality data, seamless integration with existing systems and ethical issues, especially employee uncertainty, are all key considerations for businesses eager to implement AI. And while much of the focus right now is on how AI can make businesses more efficient, the really smart movers will likely foster a culture of imagination to unlock the potential of AI.

There’s a lot to work out, but AI is already being used at scale in businesses big and small. Watch the video below for an in-depth discussion on the practical applications of AI for business right now, and how to stay one step ahead as the technology develops.

The Logic’s AI reporter Murad Hemmadi talks to Manav Gupta, vice-president and chief technology officer at IBM Canada, and Jodie Wallis, global chief analytics officer at Manulife; with opening remarks from Alex Arjomand, head of AI and strategic business analytics, North American personal and business banking at BMO.
