Ontario is facing similar pushback against its bill to fast track mining projects, including in the Ring of Fire. Getting major energy and infrastructure projects built is expected to dominate the agenda next week when Carney convenes the premiers for talks. He’s pledged to cut regulatory delays by more than half without sacrificing consultation with First Nations or environmental standards.
