Talking point: The women-owned impact venture capital firm launched in December 2021. It targets healthtech investments with between US$1 million and US$10 million in revenue and selects portfolio firms based on their potential for global growth and positive impact. It is focused on companies in North America and Europe, and has made five investments so far. The firms include prenatal-screening software maker Sonio, as well as mOm incubators, which make a portable incubator for neonatal care. Venture-capital firms have recently taken interest in one aspect of women’s health, fertility, and increasingly invested in technology and clinics that help people procreate.
