Amazon CEO says company will now slash over 18,000 roles

Andy Jassy announced the cuts late Wednesday, confirming an earlier report by The Wall Street Journal. The majority of job cuts will be in Amazon Stores and its people, experience and technology teams, representing about five per cent of the company’s corporate jobs. Amazon Canada did not answer The Logic’s questions on how the cuts will impact its staff in the country. (The Logic, The Wall Street Journal)
