Talking point: The bulk terminal, not far from the $10-billion Ksi Lisims liquefied natural gas project in which the Nisga’a are also involved, primarily handles shipments of gold and copper, including from mines on the First Nations’ territories. Operating at about half capacity with six full-time employees, the terminal has room to accommodate more production in the region. The partnership also includes trucking companies owned by the Tahltan Nation and Arrow.
