Waterloo, Ont.-based Magnet Forensics, Vancouver-based Thinkific and Saskatoon-based Vendasta Technologies confidentially filed documents with regulators, The Globe’s sources said. Talking point: Both Magnet and Thinkific declined to comment, while Vendasta did not return a request for comment. Thinkific, an online learning platform, is benefiting from increased interest in edtech amid the pandemic. In September, the company announced it raised $22 million and was planning to triple its workforce by early this year. Vendasta raised a $40-million round in 2019, a record VC round for Saskatchewan, and also went on a hiring spree recently, saying in July 2020 it planned to add 100 jobs.
