Laura Osman joins The Logic’s Ottawa bureau as a reporter. Read more in this note to staff from managing editor Jordan Timm.
I’m delighted to announce that Laura Osman is joining The Logic’s Ottawa bureau as a reporter.
Laura has spent her career covering politics at all levels of government. She joins us after nearly five years in the Ottawa bureau of The Canadian Press, where she has covered federal health and immigration policy, among other things.
You’ll know her byline, which has appeared on a steady stream of scoops and in-depth stories from Parliament Hill, and also her weekly syndicated appearances on CBC Radio, in which she offers listeners across the country her on-the-ground insight from the Hill.
Before covering federal politics, Laura covered municipal and provincial politics in Ottawa and Edmonton for the CBC. She’s also an award-winning sports reporter, a fact she says will make you laugh once you get to know her.
At The Logic, Laura will deliver the coverage of innovation and industrial policy that our subscribers so value. She will cover the business of Parliament and the politics that surround it with an eye to the needs of the business reader, separating signal from noise and helping them understand how, why and by whom decisions are made in Ottawa.
Laura will report to Charlie. Her first day is Nov. 18.
Please join me in welcoming her to the team.
