With many businesses scrambling to work out an AI plan, cool heads are needed. Amongst all the hype, tangible and practical business use cases for AI—generative or not—are devilishly hard to pin down.

So how are large financial institutions, not typically early adopters of new technology, using generative AI right now? And, crucially, what kinds of returns are they actually seeing? To help untangle all this and more, The Logic sat down with experts from RBC, the National Bank of Canada and CIBC to understand how the industry is adapting.

With a focus on applied innovation, the panel explored their use cases for generative AI across both internal and external operations, shared strategies and lessons in implementation and explained how regulatory change in both financial services and AI is affecting their plans.
