    Kitchener, Ont.-based Avidbots raises US$70M Series C

    Jeneration Capital led the round, while Canadian investors BDC Capital, BMO Capital Partners, Golden Ventures, Kensington Capital Partners and Nicola Wealth also participated.     Ontario Power Generation partners with Microsoft on carbon offset program

    Microsoft will buy clean-energy credits from OPG’s hydro and nuclear assets as part of a purchase agreement. The deal will help the tech giant reach its goal to power its data centres entirely with carbon-free energy by 2030. Proceeds from the deal will help OPG invest in new clean-power generation and decarbonize its own operations by 2040. (The Logic)

    Ubisoft CEO touts progress on workplace culture after 2020 allegations

    About two years after the French gaming giant was embroiled in sexual misconduct allegations, CEO Yves Guillemot said in an interview with La Presse that work on the company’s culture is progressing at a good pace. He also cited the company’s new systems and independent structure for employees to report when something is wrong. (La Presse)
