Talking point: The acquisition includes “key tech talent” from WillowTree, which has more than 1,000 digital strategists, engineers and other staff, said Telus CEO and Telus International President Darren Entwistle in a statement. It will also help Telus’s digital transformation, he said, and let the company develop more digital products, especially in its consumer goods, health and agriculture businesses. The telco is widely expected to spin off its health and agriculture units, taking them public as it did Telus International.
