Talking point: Felix Health said in a statement that it will use the money to expand its team, offer more preventative care and bolster its weight-loss offering. Felix provides prescriptions for both Ozempic and Wegovy, popular weight-loss injection drugs. The company said it’s ramping up ahead of generic versions of these products becoming available in Canada next year. Canadian Business Growth Fund, an existing investor, led the round, which included participation from the Business Development Bank of Canada’s Women in Tech Venture Fund, as well as BMO Capital Partners and Whitecap Venture Partners. The company has raised $82 million to date.
