Arca, whose technology helps remove and store carbon from industrial waste, will offer carbon credits on the New York-based carbon management firm’s platform. (The Logic)
Talking point: Arca recently completed an 18-month pilot with BHP to remove carbon dioxide at one of the company’s mining sites. Carbon Direct will co-develop Arca’s future industrial mineralization projects, offering its expertise to ensure the credits are verified. Arca already has two buyers—Frontier and Microsoft—for its credits. Meanwhile, Montreal-based Deep Sky announced it has partnered with Engie, a France-based energy and services company focusing on low-carbon electricity generation. Engie will purchase up to 15,000 carbon-removal credits from Deep Sky’s direct-air-capture facilities and the two companies will work together on research.
