The all-equity seed round in the leadership talent evaluation software company was led by Round13 and joined by several undisclosed angel investors. The funds will be used to grow the company’s client base, enhance customer care and invest in existing and new products, CEO Elan Pratzer told The Logic. (The Logic)
Talking point: The current methods for assessing leadership potential rely on opinions that are inherently biased, the company said in a release. Pratzer said this causes employers to hire incumbents, and miss out on emerging talent. System-3’s executive decision-making simulator, which is based on the responses of 150 Canadian executives, solves this by being an “objective, unbiased, scalable and affordable” method to evaluate talent, Pratzer added. In the next 12 months, System-3 will develop a product for board selection and invest in natural language processing.
