Thomson Reuters, which backed the New York-based startup’s US$22 million Series A round in 2024, declined to disclose the terms of the acquisition. Noetica helps law firms and financiers assess the terms of corporate deals against market trends using data from past deals. Despite last week’s market jitters, Noetica CEO Daniel Wertman said on LinkedIn that doesn’t see how a foundational model maker could replicate Thomson Reuters’ data set. Meanwhile, Thomson Reuters’ venture arm invested in California anti-money laundering company Bretton AI, as part of US$75-million Series B fundraising round.
