Talking point: Telus reported a $410-million pre-tax gain from the $500-million sale last December. It plans to use proceeds from the deal in part to grow its fibre and 5G networks. Telus also reported more details around the performance of its health and agriculture businesses, which are expected to follow its Telus International division’s go-public path. In the quarter, health-services revenues grew $22 million, or 18 per cent, mostly due to acquisitions and higher use of value-added services, among other factors. Within agriculture, the company saw double-digit revenue growth and said it would expand disclosure for the division this financial year. Telus International also reported its fourth-quarter earnings today, with quarterly revenue up 36 per cent year over year.
