The Vancouver-based Telus subsidiary announced it will further assist clients with their digital transformation by helping them implement Google Cloud’s customer-service artificial intelligence solution. (The Logic)
Talking point: Telus and Google entered into a decade-long “digital transformation” partnership earlier this month as Google added a flurry of major cloud computing customers over several weeks. Telus International, which recently broke the record for the largest tech initial public offering on the TSX, released its first financial results today. It reported net income of $102.9 million for the year ended Dec. 31, 2020, compared to $69 million the previous year; revenue arising from contracts with customers totalled $1.6 billion compared to $1.02 billion. Analysts expect more Telus divisions to go public in the future.
