Scroll CEO Tony Haile said the only major change will be Nuzzel no longer running ads. Scroll, which is still invite-only, provides ad-free access to partner sites (including USA Today, BuzzFeed and Vox) in exchange for sharing subscription revenue with the publishers. The move now allows Scroll to experiment with different offers of news aggregation and curation within its services. Haile also said they are spinning off the Nuzzel Media Intelligence news monitoring subscription business, who’s engineers will take it over to build it into a seperate company. (TechCrunch)
