Under the deal, warehousing and logistics company Second Closet will incorporate 15 of Lion Electric’s Lion6 battery-powered heavy duty trucks into its fleet to provide delivery services for Ikea. Talking point: Saint-Jérôme, Que.-based Lion Electric’s wares are quickly becoming the last-mile delivery vehicles of choice for massive multinationals. Late last year, the company revealed it had entered into an agreement with Amazon to deliver up to 2,500 trucks to the company by 2030. Meanwhile, Second Closet recently raised $20 million as the Toronto-based company transitions from self-storage to business-to-business logistics services.
