Some 58 per cent of respondents to a survey by the Environics Institute agreed “there is too much immigration to Canada,” up from 44 per cent last year. That’s the highest level the polling firm has recorded since 1998. Environics surveyed 2,016 people. (The Logic)
Talking point: Respondents say they’re worried that newcomers are adding to the challenge of finding housing; that governments aren’t managing the immigration system properly; and that the economy is too weak to absorb more workers.
