The Philadelphia-based HR software firm will use Plum to help companies wade through the onslaught of AI-generated resumes and interview responses. The companies did not disclose the terms of the acquisition. (The Logic)
Talking point: Plum’s technology helps determine whether a job candidate will succeed in a particular role, based on traits that are hard to capture in resumes or 30-minute job interviews, such as emotional intelligence, adaptability, sound judgment and resilience. The company, founded in 2012, had raised over US$10 million from investors including BDC Capital, EDC Investments and Thomvest Ventures. Plum is Phenom’s second acquisition in 10 weeks, after it bought U.K.-based skills assessment firm Be Applied in February.
