Talking point: As high interest rates persist, the fund is pursuing more deals in the private credit space, infrastructure and real estate debt, said Ramy Rayes, BCI executive vice-president of investment strategy and risk. “The markets are still relatively slow, so we need to be creative in our deal-making activity,” Rayes told Bloomberg. The fund is also looking for buying opportunities, as asset owners might be forced to sell at discounted rates in what it expects will continue to be a volatile market.
