Talking point: Stethophone, the firm’s app, uses a smartphone to listen to heart sounds more clearly than other medical stethoscopes, according to the company, and detect murmurs or abnormalities. It has both Health Canada and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration approvals. The company has previously raised a $13-million seed round. Repeat investors Killick Capital and Klister Credit co-led the new raise, with participation from Pelorus VC and others.
