Talking point: Anand sued Maverix and its partners John Ruffolo and Mark Maybank, as well as former partner Michael Wasserman, in 2021 for $3.4 million in damages and fees, claiming she wasn’t paid for 18 months of work as a partner. Maverix denied owing Anand wages and claimed she exaggerated her contributions to the firm. The dispute was resolved outside court. “Maverix recognizes Dr. Anand’s significant contributions to the formation of Maverix and wishes her continued success in her career,” reads the announcement, published Friday in The Globe’s business classifieds. Lawyers for Maverix and Anand did not immediately reply to The Logic’s request for comment.
