Talking point: “We continue to work with third-party experts to fully investigate the situation, to evaluate if any data has been accessed and to restore the full operation of our systems,” the company said in an update to customers Friday, adding it will provide updates as it learns more. Indigo is the latest Canadian retailer that’s been hacked in recent months. In November, a cyberattack shut down some services at the parent company of Sobeys, including pharmacy services and self-checkouts for about a week. The grocer anticipated the incident would cost it $25 million. Meanwhile, Montreal-based designer clothing portal Ssense didn’t inform Quebec’s personal information commission about a December cyberattack on its network, as is required by law.
