Talking point: Founded in 2003, Ssense’s parent company, the Atallah Group, received a $21.3-million loan from Quebec’s ministry of economy in January 2022. The company laid off between 68 and 130 employees at the end of January 2023, from its roughly 1,700 workforce. Ssense didn’t respond to a request for comment from The Logic.
