Talking point: Former owner Partners Group will retain about 10 per cent after reinvesting US$260 million. The transaction also includes a US$4.1-billion financing package backed by unnamed European and Canadian lenders. AtNorth operates eight data centres across the five Nordic countries, with additional projects underway in Sweden, Finland, Norway and Denmark. The deal deepens CPP Investments’ exposure to AI-related infrastructure. The pension fund has disclosed at least $11.3 billion in public commitments and allocations to major data-centre investments globally, excluding its 12 per cent stake in AirTrunk in 2024, for which it has not disclosed an acquisition price.
