Talking point: The acquisition will enhance CAE’s training and simulation capabilities in space and cyber, the company said in a statement. This is the latest acquisition for CAE. In December 2020, it acquired Merlot Aero for US$25 million. A month prior, it agreed to buy a flight-simulation technology business from Textron for US$40 million and Amsterdam’s Flight Simulation Company in a $70-million deal. Last month, the company reported a quarterly profit and revenue drop as the pandemic weighed on its civil-aviation training segment.
