Talking point: Several auto companies have chosen to use BlackBerry’s QNX operating system in their infotainment consoles, driving revenue growth at the company’s Internet of Things division. Volkswagen Group will use it for its VW.OS in all of the group’s brands, Chinese EV maker Neta Auto will deploy QNX in one of its sedans and Chinese auto-connectivity company Pateo will roll out QNX-powered Pateo Connect+ to five car manufacturers. QNX is one of the pillars of the former smartphone maker’s auto strategy, along with Ivy, its partnership with Amazon.
