Talking point: The CSN, Quebec’s second-largest union federation, launched a union drive of Amazon workers across the province in 2022, decrying worker conditions and subpar pay. It marks the first time that Canadian employees of the online shopping giant have unionized, according to the CSN, a union federation representing 330, 000 workers in the country. In April, Unifor paused its applications to the B.C. Labour Relations Board to represent workers at fulfillment centres in the province.
