Talking point: Toronto-based Manulife Investment Management led a slate of co-investors in contributing US$145-million to CleanCapital. The investment follows previous funding rounds from Manulife, including a US$500-million commitment in 2023. CleanCapital said in a press release that it has committed over US$1 billion to solar and energy storage assets since 2021. CEO Thomas Byrne said growth in data centres and reshoring are driving energy demand and business.
