Talking point: The beleaguered transport giant is in desperate need of manufacturing expertise as it deals with fallout from several high-profile safety missteps. Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada said the new innovation hub is part of Boeing’s commitment to Canada for selecting the company’s maritime patrol aircraft. The Boeing investment is part of a larger, $330-million investment from over a dozen companies in the Montreal aerospace innovation zone—the result of years of planning, Aéro Montréal CEO Mélanie Lussier said in a press release.
