Carbon Upcycling turns carbon dioxide emissions and industrial waste materials into cement products. It has been building its first commercial facility in Mississauga, Ont., which it expects to begin operations this year, using funds from a June 2025 US$18-million fundraising round led by Builders Vision. The company has raised nearly US$51 million to date, according to Pitchbook, including a US$26-million round in 2023.
