On Tuesday, July 26, Anita Balakrishnan, The Logic’s electric- and autonomous-vehicles reporter, was joined by David Adams, president of Global Automakers of Canada, Brendan Sweeney, managing director of the Trillium Network for Advanced Manufacturing and Rebekah Young, vice-president and head of inclusion and resilience economics at Scotiabank, for the launch event of The Logic’s Shift—a weekly guide to automotive tech—and the first in a series of conversations on Canada’s commitment to require 100 per cent of car and passenger truck sales to be zero emissions by 2035. Opening remarks were provided by Scott MacKenzie, director of corporate and external affairs at Shift launch sponsor Toyota Canada.
