We’re delighted to announce that Jonathan Got is joining The Logic as a general assignment reporter under our one-year program for BIPOC journalists.
In this role, Jonathan—who will report to April—will hone his business reporting skills, contribute to our award-winning daily newsletter and help our newsroom cover Canadian business and technology.
Jonathan recently graduated from Carleton University’s Master of Journalism program where he was the recipient of the Harold A. Morrison Fellowship and Rogers Communications Award for Television Journalism. He also won the Project J Award in the agricultural journalism category. He was the managing editor for the Architectural Conservancy Ontario’s Acorn magazine and his writing has appeared in The Culture Trip, Medium, Capital Current and Ontario Farmer.
Prior to pursuing his graduate studies, Jonathan was an associate at the International Committee of the Red Cross in Geneva. He also earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in information systems and management at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.
Jonathan is passionate about uncovering stories that matter to Canadian businesses. He’s a self-starter, and always trying out new skills. Just this year he has studied automotive law and learned how to use mail merge by sending 426 postage-free letters to every MP and senator.
Jonathan’s first day will be Thursday, Sept. 15.
