The collapse of FTX, once valued at US$32 billion and backed by investors from Tom Brady to the Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan, shocked the cryptocurrency industry earlier this month. And with its failure, founder and CEO Sam Bankman-Fried’s time as one of the richest and most powerful people in crypto has come to a dramatic end—and his fall may take a lot more down with him.
