Talking point: Declining interest in blockchain was one of the standout findings, as entrepreneurs were keen on exploring the emerging technology in last year’s survey. This year, artificial intelligence took the top spot, with 51 per cent of respondents “betting big” on it. It speaks to the new positions both technologies find themselves in. While the challenges of cryptocurrency exchanges like QuadrigaCX and crypto’s crash in 2018 are among the most high-profile headlines related to blockchain, advancements in artificial intelligence research are allowing more companies to create commercial products.
