Weight Watchers opening 25-person tech hub operation in Toronto


The Toronto team, which could grow to 100 people, is tasked with helping the company rebrand as a digital-focused lifestyle firm. The new strategy includes meditation and audio content on its app, as well as social media groups for people trying to lose weight. Weight Watchers said it picked Toronto due to the city’s tech environment and lower personnel costs than its other tech hubs in San Francisco and New York. (Globe and Mail)
