B Capital led the round in the Vancouver-based AI startup, with participation from Radical Ventures and Artisanal Ventures. Unblocked said in a post Tuesday it will use the funding to expand its AI products and grow its team. Previous investors include Amplify, First Round and XYZ. “Unblocked acts as a map, helping developers navigate complexity with confidence,” chief executive Dennis Pilarinos wrote in the announcement. Talking point: Unblocked connects to company workspaces—like Slack, Jira or Google Drive—to provide developers with answers about a company’s codebase. A survey by Stack Overflow in 2023 found 63 per cent respondents spend more than 30 minutes per day looking for answers to problems. This is particularly true of developers who are new to a company, which Unblocked targets some of its products toward. Unblocked currently has around 23 employees, according to PitchBook.
