Talking point: 1Password is looking to double its staff of about 170 in the next year and capitalize on the growing focus on privacy among individuals and enterprises. It currently counts one-quarter of Fortune 100 firms as customers, as well as over 50,000 corporate and government clients. This is the largest investment Accel has made in its history. The firm has previously invested early in Canadian firms Lightspeed and Hootsuite, as well as American companies Facebook, Spotify and Slack.
