Talking point: A veteran of Electronic Arts and Ubisoft, Raymond started Haven after leaving the helm of Google’s Stadia when the video-game streaming service was shuttered in February 2021. Raymond’s partnership with Sony started early, with Haven announcing a game-development project with the PlayStation maker in March 2021. “We’ve made amazing progress in a short time thanks to our talented, passionate team and their exceptional contributions,” Raymond wrote in a blog post announcing the acquisition, noting the company will be working with Guerrilla, Naughty Dog, Media Molecule and Insomniac Games—just some of the 18 studio acquisitions Sony has made over the years.
