The Montreal video-game developer, herself the former head of Google’s cloud gaming division, has poached a UX researcher, two concept artists, a programmer, general director and creative-services head to work at her new gaming studio Haven. Talking point: A 25-year veteran of the industry, Raymond is the founder of Ubisoft Toronto and Motive Studios, and a co-creator of the Assassin’s Creed franchise. Haven—which Raymond formed after Google shut Stadia’s studios in Montreal and Los Angeles—is all of three months old and has a deal to develop games for Sony’s PlayStation platform. Meanwhile, John Justice has left Google after just over two years as Stadia’s vice-president and head of product.
