Talking point: 4AG Robotics creates fully autonomous robots that can harvest, trim and pack mushrooms, using suction grippers, AI-powered computer vision and motion control to complete what is otherwise an intensive manual process. The investment will help the company “meet surging global demand” for robotic harvesting. It has already expanded to Ireland and Australia, with plans to push into the Netherlands and the U.S., according to a press release. 4AG (pronounced “forage”) raised a $17.5 million equity financing round in 2023 and has raised a total of $57.5 million over the past two years.
