Talking point: Nuvei maintained its outlook for the full year despite investor concerns about growth and inflation, prompting questions from analysts about whether a drop in consumer discretionary spending would hurt its business. First-quarter revenue increased 43 per cent to US$214.5 million from US$150.5 million year over year. The company is eyeing acquisitions to increase its capabilities, geographies and scale, Fayer said, adding that Nuvei’s existing card issuance offering won’t be a meaningful driver for the business until 2023. Nuvei shares fell on Tuesday to their lowest point since November 2020, just weeks after the company went public on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
