Talking point: Lightspeed has had a string of executive shakeups in recent years. Nussey became Lightspeed’s first COO in May 2022 after serving as CFO for over four years. He was replaced by Asha Bakshani, then the executive vice-president of finance. A month before those changes, founder Dax Dasilva resigned as CEO after a period of poor stock performance. JP Chauvet, who had been the company’s president since 2016, replaced him. Lightspeed announced in January that it was cutting 10 per cent of its workforce, with half of the cost savings coming from eliminating management roles.
