Other parts of Bill C-39 that amend the Canada Labour Code are good, said Bruske, and she welcomed the government’s promise to beef up the federal labour board to deal with grievances, but “none of those things can outweigh putting leverage on the employer side when it comes to the right to strike,” she said.
