Talking point: Edify owns 20 renewable energy and storage facilities in Australia, where the company was founded in 2015. The Caisse de dépôt, which has nearly half a trillion dollars in assets under management, has pledged to spend $400 billion in climate action investment as part of its 2025–2030 climate strategy. Global renewable electricity generation is expected to increase by almost 90 per cent from 2023 levels, to over 17,000 terawatt-hours by the end of this decade, according to an International Energy Agency projection.
