The Swedish furniture company announced its gaming-furniture and -accessory range—a collaboration with Republic of Gamers—will be sold at its stores globally next month in an effort to “democratize the gaming experience” by making at-home setups more affordable. (The Logic)
Talking point: Ikea first released the collection in China in late January, followed by Japan. The lineup includes more than 30 products. Accessories include a cup holder, mouse bungee and a wooden-hand headphone cradle. Bigger-ticket items include a gaming chair and a standing desk. Ikea also announced a partnership with the World Surf League and revealed the first of the new collection today. It includes a balance board and glassware. On Thursday, the retailer announced a collaboration with house-music group Swedish House Mafia to create goods meant to amp creativity for musicians at home.
